The Swedish Football Federation expressed its displeasure with UEFA’s decision to award the Kosovo national team a technical defeat against Romania in the Nations League match. This is reported by Fotbollskanalen.

According to the source, the president of the Swedish federation, Kim Cjellström, said that the management of the FFSH is considering the possibility of filing an appeal against the UEFA decision.

“After a clear victory over Azerbaijan, we were waiting for UEFA’s decision regarding the result of the match between Romania and Kosovo. As a result, a decision was made, which is negative for us.

The decision affects all teams involved, but we are studying the possibility of further development of the situation. “Unfortunately, behavior off the field affects the sporting outcome and affects both the teams and us,” Cjellström said.

It will be recalled that initially Sweden took first place in its group, becoming the best team in League C, which practically guaranteed it a ticket to the 2026 World Cup. However, after UEFA’s decision, the Romanian national team gained three points and overtook Sweden to become the best team in League C.

Earlier it was reported that Kosovo will file an appeal against UEFA’s decision regarding Romania’s technical defeat in the League of Nations.
