The players of Roman Roma protested the resignation of Daniele De Rossi. This is reported by Corriere dello Sport.

According to the source, team veterans Lorenzo Pellegrini and Gianluca Mancini met with the management of the Rome club on behalf of the whole team to understand the reasons for this decision, as well as to ask the club to review it and continue working with De Rossi.

However, the meeting took place too late after the announcement of the coach’s resignation, so the decision remained in force.

It is also noted that the captain and vice-captain of “Wolves” asked for an explanation why last week the club contacted some players (Dybala and Paredes – note), asking their opinion about De Rossi, but not them.

It is interesting that Dybala and Paredes assured the management of Roma that De Rossi has the full support of all football players, but still the bosses of the Romans made the decision to release the 41-year-old specialist.

We will remind, the day before Roma announced the resignation of De Rossi from the position of head coach of the team after four rounds of Serie A, after which his place was taken by Ivan Yurich.
