Details: Zelensky posted a video of the events that have taken place in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war and captioned it “1000 days together. 1000 days of Ukraine.”
Literally Syriac: “1,000 days of extremely difficult and fierce battle for our existence. For the future of Ukraine and each of us. 1,000 days of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confronting the enemy on a front that stretches over 1,000 kilometers.
In the frozen trenches of Donetsk region and in the burning steppes of Kherson region under shells, hail, and anti-aircraft guns – we are fighting for the right to life. Us and our children.”
Syrskyi added that “every dark night, even if there are a thousand of them, always ends with a dawn” and one day it will be the dawn of victory.
Verbatim Budanov: “Almost three years ago, the Moscow generals seriously planned to “take Kyiv in three days” and march along Khreshchatyk in a parade. We, Ukrainians, military and civilians, did not let them do this, because we value the will and dignity, independence of the country above all else – more than own life…
Our eternal enemy has not given up his goal – to destroy Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians as a people. Therefore, we must continue to be strong and persistent in achieving our goal – to defeat the occupiers, to liberate the Ukrainian land, to build the state of our dreams – a powerful, independent, just Ukraine.
A thousand days is a huge time. No one knows how many more days and nights this war will last. But we are ready and will fight for Ukraine as long as it takes. Because we are warriors of truth, we fight on our land, we protect our people and our country.”
Budanov reminded that Ukrainian spies warned the society about the danger, in this our work and GUR proved ready to confront the enemy from the first minutes of a full-scale invasion.
According to the head of intelligence, Ukrainian drones are reaching targets 1,500 kilometers deep behind enemy lines, and naval drones are clearing the Black Sea of the Russian navy, and servicemen have mastered the latest techniques and battle tactics, becoming the best specialists in modern warfare.
Verbatim Klymenko: “The enemy is trying to break us as individuals and as a nation. And for 1,000 days we have proved that the enemy’s plans are useless. Despite the pain and grief that Russia has brought, Ukraine is becoming stronger.”
Klymenko said that the ministry expanded its functions during the invasion period: “From the first day, brigades of the National Guard, the State Border Service and the National Police have been on the front lines. Our employees of the State Emergency Service are on the front lines and in the rear every day, rescuing people.”
According to him, Ukraine and Ukrainians have come a long way: “And we have to overcome it further – to a peaceful and safe country. I’m sure we can.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Ukrainians, as a nation, have experienced many difficult days: “But more important than the number of past days is the number of days that remain before our victory: the victory of truth, light, justice and peace.”
