Zelensky’s direct speech: “We talked with Emmanuel about his long-standing idea. We support the idea (of the peacekeeping mission, which means – EP) of strengthening Ukraine. Emmanuel had contacts about this with some leaders. We are in the process, but I see that there is a positive from some leaders.”
At the same time, the president did not comment on the possible format of the mission, explaining that it is a “sensitive issue”.
“This is a question of details and we are discussing these details,” Zelenskyy concluded.
Prehistory:
- Earlier, the head of the EU foreign policy service commented on the idea of a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.
- It was also mentioned by the president of Finland and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, noting, however, that this idea is very “raw” at the moment.
