The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed the law on raising taxes.

As noted on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, document No. 11416-d was returned today with the President’s signature.

The law, among other things, provides for an increase in the military levy from 1.5 to 5% (except for military personnel). This fee will now also be paid by FOPs.

In addition, the document introduces a 50% tax on banks, 25% PP for financial companies and the transition to monthly income tax reporting (PTFO).

People’s deputy from the “Voice” faction, deputy chairman of the committee on finance, tax and customs policy Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that the law will enter into force after publication, that is, it will be published on November 30 – it will come into force on December 1.

“After 44 days, the president signed a historic tax increase of 11,416 days. The one who himself agreed to exactly this version…Why did they agree to the worst version of the introduction of taxes, which no one supported, except the president? Whether we will fix the collisions or not, it will be known only in the next plenary week,” he wrote in a telegram.

In October, the deputies voted for the draft law on increasing taxes. Subsequently, the parliament rejected all resolutions that blocked its signing. On October 15, the law was sent to the President for signature.
