President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he did not communicate with the President of the European Commission Ursula von Der Liaan after the scandalous law, which destroys NABU and SAP independence.

Details: The president made this statement while communicating with the media on July 24. Neither the “European truth” nor the “Ukrainian truth”, despite the appeal, was not invited to this meeting.

• On July 23, a spokesman for the European Commission Guillaume Merieier said of Brussels’s great concern about the law passed. He also added that von der Liaien was in contact with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, expressing his serious concern and asking Kiev for explanation.
• On July 24, the European Commission greeted the readiness of the Ukrainian authorities to remedy the situation with the SAP and NABU, and noted that they would work closely with the Ukrainian side to make sure that its comments were properly taken into account.
