Zelensky first spoke with the newly elected President of Poland

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had the first telephone conversation with the elected President of Poland Karol Navrotsky.

Details: The spokesman reported that the conversation took place on the initiative of Zelensky and he greeted Karol Navrotsky on a victory in the presidential election.

“Karol Navrotsky emphasized that cooperation between the two countries should be based on mutual respect and sincere partnership … Russia is a neo -imperial, colonial state under the guidance of a military criminal Vladimir Putin.

One of the central topics of the conversation was historical policy.

“Karol Navrotsky stated that he is the voice of the nation, which requires a change in Ukraine’s approach to important and so far unresolved historical issues. It should change. The chosen president announced that historical issues would be topics of further conversations with the President of Ukraine,” the spokesman said.

Zelensky, commenting on the conversation, expressed his hope that Poland would continue to remain a reliable partner and ally of Ukraine.

Before that, Zelensky welcomed Navrotsky on the victory in the public posts in early June. In response, Navrotsky expressed his hope for continuing a close partnership with Ukraine and emphasizing the importance of solving complex historical issues.
