President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially confirmed the presence of Ukrainian military in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. According to him, active actions in the border areas of the aggressor state are a reasonable answer to the Russian invasion.

Zelensky emphasized that the main purpose of these actions is to protect Ukrainian communities in Sumy and Kharkiv, which systematically suffer from the Russian Federation.
