Details: Journalists “Investigation.Info” together with the organization “Reporters without borders” and colleagues from the media “Public” and “Grats” found that the Russians initially seized Victoria and kept in torture in the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya region, and later transported to Taganrog.

Her companion said that the journalist was kept in Energodar (investigators confirmed this information from other sources), then in Melitopol. It is an unauthorized maintenance of citizens, equipped with Russians in occupied Ukrainian lands.

According to witnesses, during their maintenance was a check by the Russian ombudsman. Roshchina was buried from inspection and transferred to another floor into a closed room.
The journalist was first seen on September 8, 2024, then she was removed from the camera in an unknown direction.

Prehistory:
- In order to get into the occupied territory for future material, Victoria Roshchyna left Ukraine to Poland on July 25, 2023. She planned to reach the occupied East of Ukraine through Russia in 3 days.
- Roshchyna disappeared on August 3, 2023 in the territory occupied by Russia, where she made a report.
- In May 2024, Russia for the first time acknowledged that she had detained Roshchina. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation sent a letter confirming her father, Vladimir Rochina.
