The weather in Ukraine is set to undergo notable changes in the coming days, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. Following a week characterized by unseasonably warm temperatures, a shift is anticipated as cooler air moves in from the east.
Forecasts indicate that from March 14 to 16, temperatures will begin to decline, particularly in southeastern regions, where the coldest conditions are expected on March 16. The warmest temperatures will be recorded in the extreme west of the country.
On March 14 and 15, dry weather is expected across most areas. However, a small cyclone originating from the Black Sea will bring cloud cover and light rain to parts of eastern and southeastern Ukraine on March 16.
Weather Outlook for Kyiv
In Kyiv, temperatures will gradually decrease over the next few days. From March 14 to 18, the rate of warming will slow, especially during the daytime. The weather will initially be influenced by high atmospheric pressure, limiting precipitation.
As the atmospheric pressure begins to drop on March 15, cloud cover will increase, but significant rainfall is not anticipated. Nighttime temperatures in the region are expected to range from +3°C to -2°C, while daytime highs will be between +8°C and +13°C. By March 18, daytime temperatures are projected to fall to between +5°C and +10°C.
In Kyiv specifically, nighttime temperatures may dip slightly below zero, while daytime highs will decrease from +11°C to +13°C on March 14 to a range of +7°C to +9°C by March 18.
