CIA Director John Retcliffe and National Security Advisor, Mike Volz, confirmed the pause in support of the intelligence, but both suggested that the pause could be short -lived if Ukraine quickly returns to the negotiation table.
WSJ, citing an unnamed US official, writes that the termination of intelligence exchange applies not only to targeting the Russian troops, but also to the data on prevention on possible launches by Russia and missiles in Ukraine.
The former head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Valery Kondratyuk noted that “everything that came from the Ministry of Defense has stopped.”
“It mainly concerns the exchange of pictures. This is not critical, because European companies have their own satellites, but not all of them are focused on military dislocation and movement, which is important,” Kondratyuk emphasized.

CIA officers were sent to Ukrainian bases, where they analyze lists of potential Russian goals, for which Ukrainians are preparing to strike. They compare the data of Ukrainian intelligence with information obtained from the US to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
The CIA helped Ukraine build at least three secret reconnaissance collecting bases. These bases allow Ukrainians to intercept Russian messages and reduce Ukraine’s dependence on the United States. ”
