He expressed his hope for a “constructive” conversation with the Russian ruler and said that immediately after the meeting he would call European leaders to inform them about the course of the meeting and what the agreement could be. ”

According to Trump, he “would like to see the ceasefire” and “the best deal for both parties.”
He believes that as a result of his meeting with Putin, it is likely to achieve a truce “very quickly”, so according to Trump “we will work with European leaders, we will work with President Zelensky, and we hope we will succeed.”
“The meeting with Putin, I think, will be good, but maybe bad. I am here for one reason – to put an end to the war that someone else started. It would never have to happen. If I could end this difficult war. A lot of blood was shed,” Trump said.
