Ukrainian Weather Forecast for April: Average Conditions Expected

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has announced that weather conditions for April 2026 are expected to remain within the climatic norm. The average monthly temperature is projected to range between +8°C and +11°C, with cooler temperatures of +5°C to +7°C anticipated in the mountainous regions of the Carpathians.

Precipitation levels are expected to reach 30-50 mm across the country, while the Carpathians may see between 60-90 mm. This represents 80-120% of the typical climatic norm for this time of year.

April Weather Overview

According to forecasts from Wisemeteo, April will generally feature mild weather, although a brief drop in temperatures is likely between the 8th and 11th of the month. There will be a noticeable difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures.

Those hoping for clear skies may need to temper their expectations, as completely cloudless days are not anticipated. The month is expected to include frequent rain showers, but severe weather events are not predicted.

Upcoming Temperature Changes

As of March 27, the unusually warm weather in Ukraine is coming to an end, with a subsequent drop in temperatures expected. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko noted that daytime highs will range from +12°C to +18°C, while the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions may experience cooler conditions, around +8°C to +11°C.

Precipitation is likely to occur sporadically in the eastern parts of the country, but significant rainfall is not expected across most regions. Didenko indicated that while some warm air masses may linger, the overall trend points towards a cooling period.
