Around 6:00 a.m., Kharkiv was hit by ballistic missiles, more than a dozen explosions rang out in the city.
“After the enemy strikes, several fires broke out, there is damage to civilian non-residential infrastructure,” informed Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv OVA.
Several people were injured, at least three men were taken to hospitals with shrapnel wounds.
Subsequently, other settlements of the Kharkiv region, as well as the city of Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region, came under attack, a combined attack was carried out using both air and cruise missiles.
“Since the morning, the Russian army has been massively attacking Dnipropetrovsk region. They are trying to destroy the energy system of the region,” said Serhiy Lysak, head of Dnipropetrovsk OVA.
Also under attack were Kremenchuk in the Poltava region, Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Burshtyn in the Carpathian region, where a large thermal power plant is located.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
