On April 19, 277 soldiers returned to Ukraine, including 246 as part of the exchange of prisoners, 31 more people managed to free up.

According to the coordination headquarters on the management of prisoners of war, 246 soldiers were returned in the framework of the exchange of prisoners, 31 other people were able to release out of exchange.

Most of those who managed to return are young people after 2000. Among the returned is a woman-serviceman who has been in captivity since May 2022.

The rank and file staff includes 268 released, and 9 officers were returned.

The current exchange is the fourth this year and the 63rd from the beginning of a full-scale invasion.

This year alone, 596 Ukrainians were returned home from Russian captivity and 53 defender were liberated from exchanges.

In total, 45552 Ukrainian citizens have been liberated by the coordination headquarters since March 2022. In addition, 529 people were dismissed from Russian captivity.
