Dmytro Lytvyn, adviser to the President of Ukraine on communications, reacted to the report about the call of the USA to lower the mobilization age in Ukraine to 18 years.

“It makes no sense to hear calls to Ukraine to lower the mobilization age, allegedly in order to call up more people, when we see that the previously announced equipment is not arriving on time. Due to these delays, Ukraine lacks weapons for the already mobilized soldiers,” wrote adviser Kh.

According to Dmytro Lytvyn, “Ukraine cannot be expected to compensate for delays in logistical support or hesitation in supporting our men on the front lines with youth.”

The administration of the current US President Joe Biden calls on Ukraine to review the mobilization legislation with the aim of conscripting people from the age of 18 and rapidly increasing the number of armed forces. In the evening of November 27, the AP and Reuters agencies wrote about this with reference to a high-ranking official of the current American administration.

On November 19, the US President’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that Ukraine has received many different American weapons, but still has a difficult situation on the battlefield. Among the reasons, he cited problems with mobilization.
