Ukraine introduced new sanctions against individuals and legal entities from Russia, Iran and China – decrees

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi by his decrees implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on new sanctions against Russia, Iran and China. The decrees were published on the website of the president on September 19.

In particular, Decree No. 638 provides for the introduction of restrictions against six individuals and more than 40 legal entities from Russia, Iran and China. Decree No. 639 imposes sanctions against two enterprises, in particular the Russian LLC “Mayak Ship Lighting Plant” and the Federal State Enterprise “Kazan State State Gunpowder Plant”.

The documents specify that proposals for the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) were made by the Security Service of Ukraine.

Sanctions are imposed for 10 years.

At the beginning of this month, Zelenskyy introduced new sanctions against Russia with his decrees: against individuals and legal entities, “collaborators, occupiers and entities that contribute to them on the TOT (a total of 175 entities)”; companies involved in the maintenance of airfields jointly based by the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the FSB, and the National Guard of the Russian Federation, which host military aircraft.
