However, Bab detectives found that the use of such a preferential rate did not meet the terms of the contracts concluded and the actual circumstances of the aircraft. Thus, the air carrier evaded the payment to the state budget of more than UAH 344 million of taxes, according to law enforcement.
Detectives of the bureau reported suspicion for former officials. Besides, According to the decision of the investigating judge, Baba arrested 7 aircraft, which were the subject of leasing in accordance with the mentioned contracts. In particular, 3 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, one Boeing 737-900 and 3 Embraer 190 aircraft. Their estimated cost is $ 40 million.
