NBC News notes that amending the US Constitution to abolish two terms would be an extremely difficult task that would require either two -thirds of Congress votes or two thirds of states that would agree to convene a constitutional convention to propose changes. Trump still commented on the possibility of chatting for the third presidential term, although Republicans perceived these comments as jokes or as a presidential trolling regarding their critics.
MP Andy Ogles, a Republican from Tennessee, has developed a resolution that calls for extension of presidential powers, which will allow Trump to run for another term.
Meanwhile, Trump’s colleague Steve Bannon said in an interview with News Nation that he believed that Trump would “run and win again in 2028.” In the same interview, Bannon said that, in his opinion, “we will have several alternatives” in determining how Trump can claim for the third time, despite the fact that the maximum term of stay in the President is two.
