“Norad reacted by sending an E-3 aircraft, four F-16 aircraft and four KC-135 planes for identification and interception,” the statement said.
The command said that Russian military aircraft remained in the international airspace and did not enter the sovereign airspace of the US or Canada.
“Such activity of Russia in the identification zone of Air Alaska is regularly and is not considered as a threat,” – the message reads.
