Details: 93 UN member states voted in favor of the US Resolution “The Way to Peace”, and eight, 73 were opposed to the vote. Ukraine was one of the holding states.

The UN General Assembly at the same time rejected the Russian amendment “On the need to eliminate the fundamental causes of the Ukrainian crisis”: 71 states opposed it, and supported – only 31.
The short project of the US resolution expresses sorrow in connection with the “tragic death of people during the Russian-Ukrainian conflict”, as well as “calls for a rapid cessation of conflict and a further call for establishing a strong peace between Ukraine and Russia.”
In parallel on Monday, the UN General Assembly approved the same 93 votes with a Ukrainian resolution with the condemnation of Russian aggression.
The United States voted against – near Russia and less than two dozen other countries.
