The supervisory board advises Umerova to extend the contract with the director of the Defense Procurement Agency

The Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency (AOD) submitted a recommendation to Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov to extend the contract with the current director of the AOD, Maryna Bezrukova, for one year.

About this reported press service of AOZ.

“This decision is based on an assessment of its activities and the need to ensure stability and efficiency in procurement management in wartime conditions,” the message reads.

The Supervisory Board also announced that it plans to engage the International Board of Auditors of NATO (IBAN) to conduct an independent audit. This is done to ensure transparency and compliance with international standards.

Based on the results of this audit, it is planned to create a center of excellence in military procurement of Ukraine, which will bring Ukraine closer to NATO membership.

The management of AOZ supported these initiatives and is ready to cooperate with international auditors.
