“This fire damage is part of a comprehensive campaign to weaken the capabilities of the armed forces of the Russian Federation to coordinate military operations against the people of Ukraine. The armed forces of Ukraine can inflict damage anywhere and at any time to protect the Ukrainian people from Russian aggression,” the message reads.
Earlier on December 25, acting governor of the Kursk region Oleksandr Khinshtein accused the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of firing rockets at civilian objects and infrastructure in the city of Lhova. Later, he added that as a result of the strike, three people died on the spot, another wounded person later died in the hospital. Five people were injured, one woman is in serious condition. Khinshtein did not report on the probable losses among the Russian military.
Lhov is a city in the Kursk region with a population of almost 17,000 people, located near the border with Ukraine. Civilians were not evacuated from this settlement.
