The SBU identified the Russian commanders responsible for a hunger on hypermarket in Kharkiv

The Security Service of Ukraine installed persons of Russian commander who gave orders to hit the construction hypermarket in Kharkiv – then 19 people were killed. This was stated on January 30.

“It is established that the Order of the Air Force on Kharkiv was given by the commander of the North of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation General-General Alexander Lapin. After that, the chief of staff of this group, Lieutenant General Valery Solochuk, organized a preparation of an air attack plan, ”the service says.

According to the investigation, three subordinates of Lapin were also involved in the planning and implementation of bombing:

  • Commander of the 6th Army of Military-Air Force and Air Defense of Russia Lieutenant General Oleg Makovetsky
  • Head of Staff of the 6th Army of Russian Military-Air Force Major General Yuri Podolepellov
  • Commander of the 47th Bombard Aviation Regiment of the 6th Army of Russia’s military-air forces Colonel Alexei Loboda

According to the SBU, Russian troops raised bombers of the Su-34, who launched three airbombs of three airbombs of the UMPB D-30SN to the air. Two bombs hit the building of a civilian facility, one more – fell near the shopping center and did not explode.

On the basis of the evidence collected, investigators informed in absentia five defendants about suspicion of violations of the laws and customs of war, which caused the death of people and committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons.

On May 25, 2024, the forces of the Russian Federation struck the Epicenter Supermarket in Kharkiv. In total, 19 people were killed, including two minors: a 17-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. Another 54 people were injured.
