The President of the Czech Republic commented on the possibility of sending peacekeepers to Ukraine

Czech President Peter Pavel has stated that the deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine is not being discussed as there is no peace agreement.

Details: In addition, Pavel commented on the proposal of Russian ruler Vladimir Putin on a short truce. He pointed out that one -day or three -day pauses have no content and do not create the conditions to start real peace talks. According to the Czech leader, it is important not the fact of the truce, but its real observance.

At the same time, Pavel stressed that it was Ukraine who suggested that the 30-day truce be installed without additional conditions. According to him, it is Putin who has real levers to end the war.

• At the end of April, the media reported that the United States in private conversations in recent weeks have been willing to provide security guarantees for a military contingent of a “coalition” that could be posted in Ukraine after reaching a peace agreement with Russia.
