The case was considered on Tuesday at a closed hearing of the Court of Appeal in Lublin.

The court changed the contested decision in such a way that it confirmed the decision of the mayor of Dorogouska of May 8 this year about the prohibition of the action, the court spokeswoman Magdalen Kuchinskaya informed.

She added that the court fully agreed with the justification given by the head of Dorogousk in his primary decision.

The decision of the Court of Appeal is final and is not subject to appeal. This means that the organizers of the meeting should stop protest.

The protest organizer Rafal Mekler said he had not received any reports on this issue.

“We are waiting for official information. If we get it, then, of course, we obey the court’s decision, because we are acting within the law,” he said.

Argumenting the prohibition of the action, the head of Dorogoskaya, among other things, noted that the protest was planned by the organizers for four months: from May 12 to September 12, 2025.

“Such actions cannot be considered as subject to legislative protection of a collective expression of a common position on issues of public interest, but as an intention to block any cross-border contacts between Ukraine and Poland, and in a broader sense-a common market, that is, the countries of the European Union,” he emphasized.
