This was announced, in particular, by Defense Minister Ruben Bracelmans and State Secretary of Defense Geis Tuinman as part of a visit to Ukraine.
“It was important to declare that we are giving Ukraine accelerated support of 2 billion euros, which includes a project for the creation of drones with a volume of 500 million euros. These drones will be of great importance on the battlefield and will literally save life,” – quotes the Ministry of Defense Minister Brecels.
The Minister noted that this support will help to strengthen Ukraine’s position at the forefront and at the table.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, after meeting with Bracelmans in Kiev, reported that the Netherlands additionally allocated 3.5 billion euros to Ukraine, of which a large part will be aimed at providing security assistance to Ukraine as early as 2025.
Umerov reported that the Netherlands was supported by the Drone Line project and investing in Ukrainian production, but did not voice the amount of investments.
In turn, in March, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Shoiof spoke about a package of investment for 700 million euros for the production of drones, which is partially aimed at the Ukrainian defense industry.
