Before that, “European Pravda” learned from several European diplomats that Hungary again disappeared to continue some EU sanctions against Russia (individual sanctions), which expires on March 15, during a meeting of EU Ambassadors (Coreper II) in Brussels on March 10.
According to one of the interlocutors, Hungary is now the only state that blocks the continuation of sanctions.
As previously reported, the EU does not exclude that Hungary will block the continuation of sanctions against the Russian Federation, whose term expires on March 15.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto promised to oppose the continuation of EU sanctions, and called on the EU to wait for the results of negotiations between the United States and Russia to end the war in Ukraine.
