Details: This figure is the lowest since March 2025, but it is higher than February, when Zelensky trusted 57% of respondents.

Sociologists say that they have no information about the specific reasons for reducing trust in such a short period of time. At the same time, KIIS emphasizes that during the interpretation of the dynamics of trust in the President, it is important to take into account several factors, including the lack of progress in the end of the war, the weakening of the cohesion effect around the flag (in the spring there was a rather sharp increase in trust and unity on the background of exacerbation in relations with a new country.

Also, a short -term influence was replaced by a short -term influence on fossils (immediately after its signing in early May, sociologists recorded that the level of trust in the President increased to 74%).

Another factor in KIIS is the context of the questionnaire and the order of questions (there were 10 politicians in the confidence survey, including the president; different respondents read their names in different order. The sociologists say that the later read the name of Zelensky, the higher the trust in him).

In the regional section, the residents of the event (73%) are most trusted to the President, and the least – south and east (61%).

Sociologists also emphasize that among those who trust Zelensky, 55% strongly against any territorial concessions (36% generally agree to concessions), while among those who do not trust, 43% are strongly opposed to concessions, instead, 46% are ready to give way.

The study lasted from May 15 to June 3. The method of telephone interviews based on a random sample of mobile numbers was interviewed by 1011 respondents at the age of 18 years who lived in Ukraine at the time of the survey. The sampling did not include residents of territories that are not temporarily controlled by the authorities of Ukraine (at the same time some of the respondents were IDPs who moved from the occupied territories) and citizens who left abroad after February 24, 2022.

Formally, in normal circumstances, the statistical error of such sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect 1.3) did not exceed 4.1% for indicators close to 50%, 3.5% for indicators close to 25%, 2.5%-for indicators close to 10%, 1.8%-for indicators.

Under the war, a certain systematic deviation is added to this formal error, but sociologists point out that the results still retain high representativeness and allow to analyze the public sentiment of the population.
