In addition to Hutsul, the former secretary of the central office of the party Svetlana Popan will spend 6 years behind bars.
Neither Hutsul nor Popan commented on their sentences. They were taken out of the courtroom under the police escort.
“This is not a lawsuit, but a public execution … I cannot say that there is evidence, there is a fiction,” said Gutsul’s lawyer Sergei Morra.
He also announced his intention to appeal the decision in the Court of Appeal.

- Eugene Hutsul is accused of systematic imports from the Russian Federation to finance the activities of the fugitive oligarch-fugitive party during 2019-2022.
