The General Staff of the Armed Forces reports about the difficult situation at the front, the most attacks of the Russian Federation in the Vremivsk direction

The situation at the front remains difficult, 186 combat clashes were recorded during the past 24 hours, according to the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 22.

“In the direction of Vremivsk, according to detailed information, the enemy carried out 47 attacks on our positions near Uspenivka, Yantarny, Kostyantynopolsky, Novosilka, Blagodatny and in the direction of Rozlyv and Odradny,” the message states.

According to the headquarters, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to repel attacks in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, where Russian troops have advanced 41 times.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders repelled 29 offensive actions of the aggressor near Myrolyubivka, Promeny, Lysivka, Zeleny, Novy Trud, Dachensky, and Novovasylivka. The enemy actively used aviation. In the Kurakhiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled 15 attacks in the areas of Stary Terni, Kurakhovo and Dachnoy,” the military said.

Russian forces also carried out offensive actions in the Kharkiv, Kupyan, Lyman, Siver, Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Orihiv and Dnieper directions.

“Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, as well as 37 airstrikes, dropping 70 anti-aircraft missiles. In addition, he carried out more than five thousand attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops, 137 of them from rocket salvo systems,” the summary states.

According to the American Institute for the Study of War ISW, on December 20 and 21, Russian troops continued their offensive northwest of Vugledar in the area of ​​Uspenivka, Kostiatinopolsky, and Yantarny, and in the direction of Konstantinopol, Bagatyr, Rozliv, and Oradny. It is reported that Ukrainian troops are counterattacking northwest of Vugledar from Ulakli, Constantinople, Bagatyr and Odradny.

As reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, as of December 17, the Defense Forces are conducting active combat operations on a section of the front with a total length of more than 1,170 kilometers, the most difficult situation now is in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhiv directions.

Sirskyi also reported on December 17 that the Russian military has been conducting “intense offensive actions” in the Kursk region for the third day, actively using units of the North Korean army.
