The Russian army attacked 15 times in the Lyman direction, two clashes are ongoing. The defense forces repelled one attack in the Siversk direction and nine out of 11 attempts by Russian troops to advance in the Kramatorsk area.

“The enemy is intensively attacking the Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsky direction. Here, during the day, the aggressor carried out 72 assault and offensive actions. The greatest activity of the Russian occupiers remains in the areas of Vodiane Druge, Myrolyubivka, Promin, Elizavetivka, Myrnograd, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne settlements. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled sixty-five attacks in the direction, seven more clashes are ongoing,” the command reports.
Defense forces stopped seven Russian assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Novopavlovsk direction. Four more Russian attacks were repulsed in the Dnieper direction.
“Eleven combat clashes took place today in the Kursk direction, four of which continue until now, in addition, the enemy carried out 16 air strikes (24 KAB) and conducted 337 artillery strikes,” the headquarters added.

The defense forces are doing everything to prevent Pokrovsk from being taken over by the Russian army, head Oleksandr Syrsky assured in an interview with “TSN Tizhden” on January 19.
