According to the investigation, during February-May 2022, during the implementation of the project “Modernization of social support systems of the population of Ukraine”, the suspect committed official negligence.
He concluded an additional agreement to the main contract, by which he unjustifiably expanded the number of contract objects and increased the purchase of computer equipment that is not used by employees of the ministry. This was implemented without carrying out a technical and economic feasibility study on equipping the united territorial communities with computer equipment and without agreement with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
As a result, the ministry was damaged in the total amount of UAH 24 million, prosecutors note.
The conclusions of the forensic and economic examination, conducted as part of the investigation, confirmed the damage to the state budget of Ukraine, the special service adds.
On the basis of the collected evidence, SBU investigators informed the former deputy minister of suspicion under part. 2 Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (official negligence).
Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
