She stressed that the EU has always supported the Syrians for the last 14 years – and continue to do so.
“We want to help the Syrian people rebuild new, inclusive and peaceful Syria,” Callas added.
It is known that the change in Brussels’s policy on Syria began after the Bashar Assad regime was overthrown in December 2024.
In January, the EU agreed to lift sanctions from several key sectors of the Syrian economy.
They also wrote that participants of the ninth Syria Conference, which took place on March 17 in Brussels, promised to allocate a total of 5.8 billion euros in total.
