Stano also noted that the EU representation in Kyiv continues its work and does not take additional security measures.
“I can only say that on the part of the EU delegation, we are not taking any additional concrete security measures, because we are already working in an environment that is very risky. We see that Putin continues his aggression through large-scale attacks throughout Ukraine, so we are acting under these circumstances, with the level of preparedness that we have,” the spokesperson of the European Commission emphasized.
Earlier, the USA urged its citizens in Ukraine to exercise maximum caution due to the risk of a major air attack by the Russian Federation on November 20; the embassy will be closed in this regard.
The Spanish embassy later also announced its closure after receiving “concrete” information about a possible “major” airstrike on the city on Wednesday, November 20.
The embassies of Greece and Italy will also be closed on Wednesday for security reasons.
