“The blow became fatal”: the Russian Federation has destroyed the refinery of Ukraine’s oil refinery

On the night of March 17, an oil refinery in the city of Merefa, owned by the Kharkiv Investment and Industry Group of AES Group, was attacking hostile drones.

This is stated in the message of the company at the disposal of the EP.

According to AES Group, about 20 drones were released on the enterprise, and the blows lasted for two hours.

This is the fourth attack on the plant since February 2022. Before that, the company worked only on 10% of its capacity, but after the last attack it was completely destroyed.

The company stated that this blow was fatal for business.

“In fact, it is the beginning of bankruptcy procedures. The fourth attack was deadly to the enterprise. It remains only to hope for international courts, but in the current geopolitical situation the chances of justice are small,” Aes Group commented.
