The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned at dawn on November 21 about the takeoff of MiG-31K and Tu-95 aircraft in Russia.

“Presumably, Kh-101 cruise missiles were launched by Tu-95s in the Engelsu area,” the report says.

An air alert has been declared throughout the territory of Ukraine.

On the morning of November 20, the US Embassy in Ukraine reported that it had received “specific information” about a possible significant Russian air attack that day. The embassy was closed as a precaution. Later, the embassy announced the resumption of work.

Subsequently, the diplomatic missions of Spain, Italy and Greece also announced the closure for visitors on November 20.

The message from the embassy came after Russian President Vladimir Putin updated Russia’s nuclear doctrine on November 19, the 1,000th day of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, reacted to the report of “special danger”, noting that one should always pay attention to the air alarm, because “our neighbor is a madman”.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.
