The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the attack of the Russian Federation: they shot down the Dagger and five Kh-69 missiles, but there are ballistic hits in two areas

The Ukrainian military shot down six missiles – the Kinzhal missile and five X-69 missiles – and 16 Shahed drones, which were used by the Russian army to attack Ukraine at night and in the morning, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a telegram.

According to the report, another 24 simulator drones of various types were lost in location (without negative consequences).

As a result of the Russian attack, there are ballistic hits in Sumy region and Kyiv region.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that on the night of December 31, the Russian military used 61 means of air attack:

• 6 “Iskander-M”/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region;
• the Kh-47M2 “Kinjal” aeroballistic missile from the MiG-31K fighter from the airspace of the Tula region.
• 6 Kh-69 guided air missiles from tactical aircraft from the airspace of the Belgorod region;
• 8 Kh-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft from the airspace of the Tula region;
• 40 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and simulator drones of other types from the directions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Bryansk, Millerovo – the Russian Federation.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
