He stressed that those who violate the law in Poland should be responsible for this in accordance with Polish legislation.
According to him, “Ukrainians who, like me, are guests in this country, must comply with the laws in force in Poland.” Anyone who violates the law and violates traditions, who lack the understanding and sense of a certain social sensitivity should be responsible, said the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland.
He also noted that actions such as on a Saturday concert are part of the hostile narrative of Russia. “The more such provocations, the more it threatens our bilateral relations, but also has a negative effect on Ukrainians living in Poland, who mostly do not violate the law,” he evaluated.
According to him, people who did not behave at the concert “came from other countries and do not live in Poland.”
However, he assessed that it was a very shocking case. “This does not fit into our efforts aimed at developing good relations with Poland, cooperation in various fields and the formation of a good atmosphere, including, for example, in solving historical issues that are very sensitive to our bilateral relations,” Vasyl Bodnar summed up.
Last weekend, a concert of the Belarusian rapper Max Korzh, a popular music performer in Eastern Europe, took place at the national stadium.
OUN-UPA flags were noticed among the audience, as reported by the MP “Right and Justice” Dariusz Matetsky, who announced that he would transfer the case to the district prosecutor’s office in Warsaw. A Ukrainian who brought the red and black flag to the concert and then demonstrated it, publishing the staff of this, in particular, in Tiktok, apologized for his behavior.
“If someone feels offended. I am sorry. I am grateful to all the Poles who helped and help the Ukrainians. I thank you very much from the bottom of the heart and apologize again,” he said in a video published on this.
During the concert, the city police detained 109 people for a number of offenses, in particular, for the storage of drugs, violation of the bodily integrity of employees of the security service, storage and wearing of pyrotechnic agents, as well as violation of public order at a mass event. Police officers fined 50 people totaling about 11,500 PLN. 38 petitions were filed with the court.
At the Saturday concert, the head of the Polish government Donald Tusk responded to the Saturday concert, who before the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers announced that the procedure of expulsion from the country had begun against 63 people, 57 of them were Ukrainians.
On Tuesday, Tusk accused Russia of trying to rust Warsaw and Kyiv. He stated that the anti -Polish gestures of Ukrainians and the incitement of anti -Ukrainian sentiment in Poland is a script of Putin.
