TCC worker who hit a man in his stomach in Kharkiv, was suspected of hooliganism

In Kharkiv, an employee of the territorial center of acquisition and social support, who hit the man in the stomach during the verification of documents, reported suspicion of hooliganism.

Details: It is noted that the conflict arose during the work of the mobile group to notify the military. A verbal dispute broke out between the serviceman and the local resident, during which the representative of the Tax Code hit the man.

The victim was a history teacher. He appealed to the police with a crime statement. On this fact, law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “Hooliganism”.

According to the results of investigative actions carried out under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Eastern Region, the serviceman was informed about the suspicion. The sanction of the incriminated article provides for up to five years of restraint of liberty.

The police stressed that they would respond to all signals about possible violations of citizens’ rights.

• On May 11, the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Center for Acquisition and Social Support has appointed an official investigation through a video from social networks, where a representative of the Tax Code hit a civilian man into the stomach on Prylemskaya Street.
• The statement states that the conflict arose “as a result of the provocative actions of the citizen”, but the very fact of the use of physical force was convicted.
• On May 13, the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov reported that a man who was hit by a representative of the Kharkiv Territorial Center of Acquisition is a school teacher. During the incident, he provided documents confirming his right to defer from mobilization.
