“Until then, we will try to gather as much evidence as possible, conduct the necessary research as much as possible, in order to present to our allies more concretely our vision, our assessments, both of the consequences and of the nature of the weapon used to inflict this blow. And, of course, the focus will be on strengthening our defense capabilities, strengthening our air shield,” said Andriy Sybiga.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also added that the Russian attack on the Dnipro with the use of an experimental medium-range missile “is a serious escalation of the war.”
“This is a serious escalation of Russian aggression, this is an increase in risks for our civilian population and, of course, this is also a serious challenge to common transatlantic security,” the foreign minister said.
According to him, during the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, questions will also be raised both about limiting Russia’s ability to manufacture weapons of this type, and in general about reducing the capabilities of the Russian defense industry, which “despite all sanctions, continues to grow.”
“This is a fact, so we must also react together, bearing in mind all these realities. Therefore, next week’s meeting will be held in the Ukraine-NATO format, and we hope for concrete meaningful results after its holding,” Sybiga summarized.
