“The decision to open the first cluster, which was prepared on July 18 at the level of ministers in European affairs, required only the political consolidation of the Member States of the European Union and the European Commission,” she says. The official reminded that before that Kyiv and European capitals received official confirmation that Ukraine had fulfilled the conditions to start negotiations: “All proceeded from the fact that the European Commission confirmed: Ukraine fulfilled the conditions for opening the first cluster.”

Despite the events that have unfolded in the last days – mass searches in NABU detectives, investigative actions in NABU and SAP, as well as the urgent adoption of the law, which, according to journalists, destroys the independence of these anti -corruption bodies – Olga Stefanyshyn retains optimism as to Ukraine.

“The opening of the first cluster of negotiations becomes even more relevant by the last events, since it is a fundamental block, which in one way or another involves the reform of law enforcement agencies,” she said. “This dialogue is raised and I am sure that to open the negotiations real.
