“The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, said that he had signed a business trip for the fifth president and leader of the European Solidarity Party, Petro Poroshenko, who asked to send him to Brussels for a meeting of the European People’s Party “due to logistics” from January 11 to 15.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua

Details: According to Stefanchuk, Poroshenko had a business trip signed by the head of the VRU to the meeting of the political assembly of the European People’s Party, which took place on January 13-14 in Brussels.
“Taking into account the logistics, the People’s Deputy in his statement asked to send him on a secondment from January 11 (date of departure) to January 15 (date of return),” he said.
Stefanchuk assumed that, probably, Poroshenko “independently made the decision not to go on this business trip.” According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, his registration and actual presence in the meeting hall of the Verkhovna Rada during the days for which the business trip was planned prove this.
“From a legal point of view, a business trip does not simply provide an opportunity to leave Ukraine on certain days, but must have a legal purpose. Therefore, the reason and legal purpose for which People’s Deputy of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko needed to leave Ukraine yesterday evening, January 15, allegedly for the meeting of the political assembly of the European People’s Party, which ended the day before, January 14, at 1 p.m., is unknown to me,” Stefanchuk said.
Stefanchuk also issued an invitation to Petro Poroshenko for a meeting of the European People’s Party.
What happened before: Before that, the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, said that “on the instructions of the head of the presidential security service”, he was once again not allowed to go on a business trip to Brussels, where, according to him, he was supposed to meet with the leader of the European People’s Party, Manfred Weber.
Prehistory:
- On December 1, 2023, Poroshenko announced that the border guards did not let him go on a business trip abroad, to Poland and the USA, and called it “anti-Ukrainian sabotage.”
- According to him, he had dozens of meetings planned in Poland and the USA. He had to talk with the Poles about lifting the blockade of our carriers at the border, and with the Americans – on ensuring the financing of military aid.
- DPSU spokesman Andriy Demchenko in a comment to “Ukrainian Pravda” said that the border guards refused to leave the fifth president of Ukraine, People’s Deputy Petro Poroshenko, because his business trip was canceled by the Verkhovna Rada.
- In 2022, Poroshenko was also not allowed abroad. Then, only on May 30, Poroshenko crossed Ukraine’s border with Poland on the third attempt. The reason for the refusal to leave Poroshenko was called “the problem with confirming the validity of the permit document” – the QR code was not read.
