The Minister of Foreign Affairs submitted a number of candidacies for the positions of ambassadors, some of them have already been approved, some are awaiting approval. This was announced by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tykhi, a correspondent of Radio Svoboda reports.

According to him, the general public will soon become aware of certain appointments.

“I can confirm that the replacement and dispatch of a number of ambassadors is indeed expected. Such plans were announced by the President of Ukraine back in November. The minister submitted a number of candidates. Some of them have already been approved, some of them are awaiting approval. And you will learn some of them soon enough,” said George the Quiet.

He also assured that the ministry pays special attention to the issue of filling ambassador positions, some of which are vacant. The search for candidates is ongoing, said the spokesperson of the department.

“The minister also constantly conducts it and offers relevant candidates to the president, who makes decisions on sending people on long-term business trips as heads of Ukrainian diplomatic missions. Therefore, as for specific surnames, you will soon learn some of them,” said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on December 11 that he plans to present new appointments of diplomats. In November, the president reported that he had discussed personnel changes in diplomacy with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga. According to him, it was about the appointment of ambassadors of Ukraine to vacant positions in the “relevant countries”.
