“Now we are not talking about guarantees, but about monitoring of peace and strengthening Ukraine,” he emphasized.
Sikorsky also urged to concentrate on military assistance to Ukraine instead of negotiations on security guarantees.
“I am afraid that this self -absorbing discussion destroys and demobilizes politicians from a more urgent task – finding money for Ukraine for 2026 and 2027,” he explained.
Sikorsky’s speech forced him to publicly oppose the Presidential President of Ukraine, the deputy chairman Igor Zhovkva.
“Please forget this shameful Budapest Memorandum. This is not the best example, more precisely, this is one of the worst examples of Ukraine’s security agreements,” he said, noting that he is confident in the effectiveness of the ideas about the guarantees of Ukraine now being discussed.
