Selected by the competition for director Bab: Government’s decision to reject my candidacy does not meet the law

The results of the competition for the post of director of the Bureau of Economic Security (Bab) Alexander Tsvinsky demands that the “security estimates” from the SBU become the basis for the Cabinet of Ministers to reject his candidacy for office.

Direct Language: “As it became known from some Telegram channels, on July 07, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine rejected my candidacy for the post of Head of the Bureau of Economic Security. The deviation was allegedly on security issues on the basis of materials provided by the Security Service of Ukraine.

As a citizen, as an employee of a law enforcement agency, who successfully passed for 10 years all inspections of the SBU, as a person who, from the first day of a full -scale invasion, stood in defense of the Motherland and served in the GUR MO, it is a fundamental question to find out what “security assessments” became the basis for the relevant decision.

Details: Tsivinsky believes that the CMU’s decision does not comply with the law: “I expect publication of an official decision or confirmation of published information by officials.”

He also reported that he had addressed the Government, the Contest Commission and the SBU to obtain all the information, including the one that concerns a security assessment: “After receiving the relevant data in detail”.

• Earlier it was reported that the winner of the competition for the Head of the Bureau of Economic Security was the NABU detective and one of the heads of the operation “Clean City” Alexander Tsvinsky.
• On June 24, the competition commission received information from the SBU on the recommendation to conduct a polygraph against individual candidates, whose relatives, according to the SBU, have some links with the Russian Federation, including Tsin.
• Subsequently, it was reported that the competition commission was submitted to Prime Minister Denis Shmigal for the winner of the competition for the election of Bab chairman Alexander Tsinsky. And all this happens against the backdrop of talk about the possible change of government.
