Literally: “Recall that recently the SBU exposed on trade from the Russian Federation (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code) of one of the heads of interregional departments of NABU, and another employee of the bureau-detained for state betrayal and transfer of information to the Russian Federation (Article 111 of the Criminal Code).

According to the SBU, the announcement of I. Vityuk suspicion by the National Anti -Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office is a revenge from NABU and the SAP for the fact that the Security Service of Ukraine effectively counteracts the Russian influence on the state bodies and exposed several employees of the bureau on committing crimes. ”
Details: The intelligence service states that Vityuk’s suspicion was announced after the resonant detention of representatives of the bureau, although the corresponding criminal proceedings were opened almost a year and a half ago.
The special service claims that the investigation ignored:
- Conclusions of many examinations that have denied the purchase of housing at a low price. In particular, those expertise initiated by NABU;
- the conclusion of the NAPC, which after careful checks did not find signs of illegal enrichment in the Vityuk family;
- conducting the business of Vityuk’s wife and receiving her legitimate and declared income for which the house was purchased for the family (confirmed by a number of state expertise);
- The shows of numerous witnesses who, despite the pressure from the investigation, refute the version of the prosecution.
The SBU also stated that Vituk from the first days of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation “makes an important contribution to the country’s protection.”
That preceded: NABU and SAP declared suspicion of the former chief of the SBU Cybersecurity Department, Elijah Vityuk in illegal enrichment and unreliable declaration.
Prehistory:
- At the beginning of April 2024, investigative investigative journalists found Vityuk’s wife purchased in December 2023, a premium club apartment for almost 200 squares. The market value of such housing is over UAH 20 million.
- After the investigation of the journalists, the SBU Chairman Vasyl Malyuk removed Vityuk at the time of inspection of the circumstances and sent to the front.
- The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has begun a lifestyle “in order to establish compliance with the standard of living of Vityuk IA with his property and his family members and their income.”
- On May 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the release of Elijah Vityuk from the post of Chief of the SBU Cybersecurity Department.
