Putin called these explosions terrorist acts and stated that the decision to implement them was allegedly made in Kiev to disrupt the negotiations.
In his speech, he once again called the Ukrainian authorities “illegitimate” and “degenerates into a terrorist organization”.
Putin’s straight language: “All the crimes committed against civilians, including women and children, on the eve of the next round of peace talks in Istanbul, were certainly aimed at disrupting the negotiation process.”
Details: He also mentioned Vladimir Zelensky’s proposal for his personal meeting, in particular in a tripartite format with the participation of US President Donald Trump. According to Putin, in the conditions of “terrorist attacks” such negotiations are impossible:
“The Kiev top has moved to the organization of terrorist acts. And at the same time asking for a meeting at the highest level. But how to hold similar meetings in these conditions? What to talk about? Who generally negotiate with those who are betting on terrorism, with terrorists?
In the same statement, Putin accused the Western allies of Ukraine of “sponsoring terrorism” and stated that for Kiev “power is more important than people”.
“Ukraine is not needed. The Kiev leaders do not have elementary political culture – they afford direct images to those with whom they try to negotiate,” he added.
