Poroshenko’s appeal of the NSDC sanctions: the court partially closed the hearing of the case

The court decided to consider the case of the Fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the appeal of the NSDC sanctions in partly in the closed regime.

About it reports Hromadske.

Representatives of the Presidential Office and the Cabinet were asked to close the trial in full. They explained their request that the case with a stamp “for business use” (DSC), which should be considered in a special hall, appeared in the case.

Poroshenko’s representatives called on the appropriate request from consideration. They explained that the closure of the consideration would not give the society access to a resonant case, close the evidence of Poroshenko from the public, violate the right to a vowel and open process, etc.

Poroshenko’s lawyer Ilya Novikov noted that the legislation provides for a return from a closed regime of consideration to the open, if the information for which they went to the closed regime became public.

Yes, he stated the court that he was ready to “take responsibility” and publish some documents so that the court could then return to the open regime.

In the end, the court decided to satisfy the petition partially – to close the consideration only in terms of consideration of official information.

If it is found that information from the closed part is already available in public, further consideration of the case will be open.
