People begin to gather in Kiev on the third day of protest on the draft law on NABU and SAP

On the evening of July 24, people on the third day of protest on the law on NABU and SAP began to gather in Kiev near the Ivan Franko Theater.

Details: The actions in many cities of Ukraine began on July 22. Among the requirements of people are the veto for the law on reducing the powers of anti -corruption bodies – NABU and SAP.

• The SBU and OGP staff conducted approximately 80 searches for 19 NABU staff in different regions of Ukraine on July 21.
• The next day, the Verkhovna Rada adopted Law No. 12414 as amended to the Criminal Procedure Code, according to which NABU and SAPs become dependent on the decisions of the Prosecutor General. On the evening of July 22, Zelensky signed the document.
• In many cities of Ukraine, protests have taken place after this legislative initiative was adopted.
• On July 23, the actions continued.
